Time for a new journal!

That last depressing one was up for way too long.
So I turned 18 a little over a week ago, which means I am now legal to smoke, gamble, and play with knives at work. Big stuff we dealin' with here. Exciting.
Even more exciting is that I finally got my ink drawings from last semester back from my teacher, so I'll have more to post when I remember to bring them home. They were the most fun things to make from that whole class. <3
Ah, what else... My college classes will be ending soon; last book in English, last chapter in math, which means that I might actually do something in the evenings, too, instead of flopping down and going, "Maaan, I'm so beat I wanna just sit here and look at things without moving my limbs." I've been mostly working on music rather than art lately, which I'll also probably post up on Youtube and/or FA once I can figure out how to record properly. Also, I have a newfound aspiration to learn how to make costumes! I'd like to start making one come summer, so if I can get my shit together and figure out what materials I need and what I need to do, keep an eye out for pictures and all that great stuff.

Unhappy news...

One of my ferrets, li'l Ralphalpha, who this picture was based off of, died tonight for reasons we can't figure out. :'c
I was letting him and our two other ferrets run around for like 40 minutes before we went out for dinner, and he seemed perfectly fine when I let him out: energetic, eager, and all that he usually is. When I put him back in, he seemed kind of tired and I found it kind of odd that he was just sitting where I put him, not trying to get back out, but I figured he was just tired.
When we got back from dinner, I wanted to let them back out 'cause they weren't out for very long before, but Ralph was just laying there, and when we took him out, he was all limp and making whining noises. We brought him upstairs to call the animal hospital, but he went glassy-eyed and his nose turned from pink to white while we were on the phone, and he stopped breathing shortly after.
R.I.P. Ralphie honey, you were one of a kind, and we'll never forget about you.

Been a while since I posted a journal (only like 3 and a half months,) so I figured I'd say something about this so I don't seem stone dead. I mean, I upload a picture every now and then, but *million excuses*.
If anyone's actually checked out the link to my Youtube, then you know I make videos of me playing piano.
Well, I got a lot of requests asking for sheet music to one of my most popular videos, (Hey, 3 requests is a lot by my standards!) and I always responded with, "Got a free program that does that?"
Someone did. So if anyone plays the piano and is interested, I made my first sheetmusic yesterday. It's A Brief Respite, the song from that video, which is from Dissidia: Final Fantasy and apparently also FFI. And yes, it's supposedly downloadable and printable and all that. Well, at least printable. I don't know what you'd need to save it in your own files.

Happy Halloween!

I haven't posted a journal in a while, so happy Halloween!
Unfortunately, I had to spend the night working, but hey, we had an insane amount of business. I filled up with pizza, though, so I don't have room for candy anyway.
*sigh* Still, it hardly felt like Halloween. I didn't get to wear a costume or carve a jack-o-lantern or nothin' out of the ordinary. I can't wait 'till I get to be one of those college kids who don't have or need jobs and get to spend all their time making cool stuff and doing hardly a thing. Then I'll have some wicked costumes at my disposal. <3
In other news, I'm performing at my state's Orchestra Hall tomorrow. X3
Gonna be pretty cool, even though we're only playing 2 songs, and one of them is like an hour long. Oh, Carmina Burana, you're so tiring.

As someone who's read all 4 books (and only just saw the second movie a week ago
), I [i]neeeed[/i] to see it. Like 10 other people and I are already making plans this weekend. I expect nothing less than the highest quality of jokes and rips ever made on Twilight, and I'm excited.
